 June 4, 2008- News from IRUS Stables at HorsePower Farms

Golden Winged Icarus (Kye) purebred chestnut colt (Goklen X Altamir), owner Jennifer Ramierz, born 6:35PM May 25.  Same day as last years full brother! 

We did just finish an event over the weekend.  We (Goklen and I) had a few hiccups with spooky stadium jumps and a last fence trakehner but we also tackled a bunch of other hard things really well.  Got a couple more great pics.

June 2, 2008– News from Oasis Akhal-Tekes

Oasis Akhal-Tekes has its first purebred foal!  Dari had a HUGE colt by Maruk about 7:20 AM Saturday!  She was soaked with sweat when I got there and was having a hard time pushing him out.  I had to pull for both the shoulders and the hips to help her through it.  

He is for sale.

News from Cascade Gold Akhal-Tekes—July 2nd, 2008

We just had our first foal of the season—Alav (Astrachan x Anastasia) had a big, dark brown colt by Salam of Freedom Run Farms.   One more to go!

Foaled 5/25/08 Bay Filly Akhal Teke Sport horse.

Sire- Garzhan (Gindarkh 13 x Gozakhal) Dam- USA Rave (Padron(Arab)  x Paint Mare) Filly loaded with presence, personality and charisma, extremely outgoing, she comes to meet all visitors. Baby bred with endurance in mind but she will be hard to beat at whatever she wants to do.

Foaled 7/2/08  Bay colt  "Elek" Akhal Teke Sport Horse

Sire- Garzhan (Gindarkh 13 x Gozakhal) Dam- Elskova (Arabian) Sire in training now, Prolific Asgard Dam  has produced 6 currently competing endurance horses and this is her 4th Akhal Teke Sport Horse foal.  The first AT in training for hunter/jumper (3 year old)  and she has 2 year old, yearling, and this new baby.    Elek bred towards endurance career as are his 9 siblings!

We had our last foal of the year on Wednesday, July 9th.  Mirija 7/8 Teke, 1/8 Hannoverian) had a huge, gorgeous filly by Astrachan.  I will have videos of both foals on my farm website, so check it out.  Both foals are for sale.
