To Preserve, Promote and Protect

One of the rarest horse breeds on the planet, the Akhal-Teke Horse from the remote regions of Turkmenistan, once a part of the Persian Empire and now and independent Soviet Republic, has amazingly endured and survived centuries of war, economic and political hardships to become on the most versatile and enduring breeds available.  With only a few hundred Akhal-Tekes in North America, it has endeared and proven itself in many disciplines, including eventing, dressage, trail riding, jumping, endurance and more.

Join us for a fascinating look at the history and heritage of this magnificent breed as presented recently at the Kentucky Horse Park by a passionate group of North American owners and breeders dedicated to the preservation and perpetuation of this exceptional breed.  Discover what they have learned about the Akhal-Teke.  “The Heavenly Horse”  A Horse of History...A Horse with Heart.
